Announcing New After- School Enrichment Classes from Curious-on-Hudson at Pocantico Hills School.
Curious-on-Hudson is excited to bring in these new enrichment programs starting January 14, 2019! These programs focus on STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts and math) enrichment in an engaging, skill-based program.

Days and Times:
Classes take place immediately following dismissal at the times indicated (3:00-4:00 PM). Each class runs for eight (8) sessions. Click below on the register button for a complete list of session dates.
Designed for early elementary students, this class integrates the Maker Movement with great inventions. The students will learn about what it means to be a Great Inventor. Each week students will learn about a great invention and will be presented with an open challenge to create their own invention with raw materials to be inspired by such inventions as the elevator, bridges, kites, toys, catapults, etc. Students get to explore their own curiosity and build their own project designs.
Toy Makers Workshop
A “MAKER” style class where the emphasis is on clever use of everyday items to teach principals of physics through fun, take home projects. Learn to code using the curriculum of code.org, a leading online developer of programs for educators. This class will introduce or refresh basic ideas such as repeat loops and events. Students will develop their understanding of algorithms, nested loops, while loops, conditionals, and events. Lessons on digital citizenship are also included. This course is crafted to build a strong foundation of basic concepts before opening up to a wide range of new and exciting topics
A “MAKER” style class that uses electronic components, such as circuits, small motors, batteries, small LED bulbs, and other parts to produce fun take-home projects. This class relies on raw, upcycled and recycled materials and teaches the basics of electricity and circuits.
