Winter 2020 Classes

Students will learn about different styles in art throughout the centuries and the scientific and mathematical reasons of how they are composed and why they’re so compelling visually. They will create projects to emulate artists such as Leonardo DaVinci and his famous “Mona Lisa”. The course will culminate in the creation of their own original work, and learning how to write a tailored artist statement to express their masterpiece’s meaning.

Grades: 4-5
Tuesdays: 3:30-4:30
$200 (8 sessions)

Intro to Electricity teaches students how electricity is generated, transferred, stored, and used in so many aspects of our lives. Students will build project models that support knowledge of this topic including a breadboard assembly, a tilt-action wand using capacitors, and a model generator. Topics include magnetism, circuits, direct and alternating currents, and storage and discharge of energy.

Grades: 4-5
Thursdays: 3:30-4:30
