You LOVE to work with wood…real wood, real tools and your own projects. That’s why we have BEGINNER WOODWORKING!
Session 1: June 25-29   Grades K-2  (1:00 PM -4:00 PM)
Our youngest woodworking class offers kids a chance to work with raw materials to create designs of their own in a creative wood workshop. Using a variety of materials, pine, bamboo and recycled materials, kids are able to blueprint and create their own toys, models, room decorations and more.

Through this program, kids should be able to:

-have a basic understanding of wood as a natural resource

-use measuring tools, such as: rulers and tape measures

-demonstrate standard workshop protocols and safety

-utilize basic hand tools, such as: hammers, wrenches, and hand saws

Limited to 10 students.  Students will be working with hand tools only. The class is designed to allow students to create their own projects starting with a blueprint.
