In addition, they will also explore some wearable tech such as garments/accessories that have special gadgets and features made with electronic and electrical components.
Some light sewing and assembly will be involved.
Please bring a snack to this class in a bag with your name on it.
Maximum 12 particpants.
This class is about joyful and unconventional self-expression through fashion and tech.
Taught by Christine Advincula
Christine Advincula is, in her own words, a lover of "geek culture" and is a mixed-media artist, drawing inspiration from both the T and A (tech and art) in our STEAM equation. This passion led her to Marist College where she graduated with a degree in Digital Media. She has worked as a web designer and game developer, having contributed to numerous Facebook games before publishing her own mobile title, Quacker Stacker. She is also an avid crafter and her dragon egg crochet pattern has been featured on the Make website.
Christine is one of Curious-on-Hudson's Scratch and web coding instructors, and a co-instructor of the Saturday Maker Lab. She is always happy to assist students in achieving their creative visions.
