At Curious-on-Hudson WE DO STUFF. We make things all the time. Giant outdoor structures. Small models. Projects that work with computers and projects that kids invent. We play with technology, robotics, woodworking and more. In the Young Tinkerers, we explore all the BEST that Curious-on-Hudson has to offer. From our natural classroom cove on the Hudson River to our maker space, computer lab and library -- we make the acting of EXPLORING the basis for this class.
In the spring session, we will also enjoy outdoor activities at our waterfront area on the Hudson River.
In the Young Tinkerers, we seek to find the things that spark kids to learn more, do more, try more things and to have the confidence in themselves they need to explore in an open, collaborative way.
Each Saturday morning , we offer your child a chance to explore something new in a way that ignites their natural love for "doing," for making things by hand, for figuring out how a circuit works, for building their own wooden motorized car, for working with others to build their own outdoor shelter, and so much more. We offer your child a chance to explore the world in a way that encourages engaging minds in an all-hands-on-deck approach to learning and experiencing.
Your child will learn to work with tools, explore electronics and technology, get inside a computer to see how it works, make their own models and structures and learn how a microscope allows them to see things they can't see on their own. We've taken all the science, engineering, technology and MAKING and bundled it up for Saturday mornings so that each session is a new discovery. LET'S DO STUFF!
