Join Kate Sonders Solomon, our food curriculum writer and instructor, in a week of her favorite recipes from the Curious Chef series. Empahsis is made on learning to appreciate the huge variety of flavors and ingredients of the world while learning how to prepare simple dishes that kids enjoy sharing with their familes (recipes are sent home).
Taught by Kate Solomon
Kate Sonders Solomon has spent the past handful of years teaching her five-year-old son to love food and eating, and writing a food blog dedicated to seasonal recipes. Kate obtained an Italian language and literature degree from Smith College and spent her junior year in Florence, where she learned the art of simple, slow cooking from a passionate host parent. Following a brief post-college stint in a professional kitchen, Kate set aside knives for paper and pen. She has spent the past ten years writing restaurant reviews, conducting research for a cookbook writer and blogging. Kate wants to spread her passion for food, cooking, and healthy and wholesome eating with kids. She’s committed to introducing new ingredients and allowing kids to explore food through touch, smell and taste.
